Planning Your Next Visit? 

 

To help limit crowding, we're controlling the number of guests by having members and visitors purchase tickets in advance. Please review the information below to learn more about the changes we have implemented to improve your experience and ensure your safety. 

Purchase Your Tickets

  • Both members and general admission guests must purchase special event tickets prior to coming to the Museum. Members and general admission guests are encouraged to purchase tickets ahead of time on our website. Each guest, age twelve months and over, will need a ticket.
     

       Non-Members

  • Non-Members reserve your tickets here.

    Members

  • Members must first register their email on our website by registering for our site here.

  • Once registered, members can sign-in in the top right corner and reserve your tickets.

  • Community Membership (such as Library passes) admissions are to be reserved one day in advance by calling 910-254-3534 ext. 106

  • ACM Reciprocal Network cardholders are to reserve their admission one day in advance by 910-254-3534 ext. 106 one day prior to reserve tickets.

  • Plan to present a printout of your physical ticket or a screenshot to show the tickets electronically on your mobile device. 

Entering the Museum

  • If you have a stroller, you can use the stroller entrance located on 2nd Street. There is a doorbell and intercom at the stroller entrance!

  • All Museum guests 12 months and over will need a ticket. 

  • Be prepared to show your tickets or purchase tickets upon arrival.
     

Events

  • Due to limited capacity, there are limited tickets for each member and non-member group.

What To Expect When You Visit

The Children's Museum of Wilmington takes the health of our guests very seriously. Here are some things to be mindful of when you visit: 

  • If you, or anyone in your group, feels sick, has a fever, cough, or shortness of breath, please stay home.  

  • Guests will find hand sanitizing stations throughout the Museum. Guests are encouraged to wash their hands frequently during their visit. 

  • Please be kind and respectful to others during your visit by following our guidelines. This will help to ensure a positive and enjoyable experience for everyone. 

  • Please look for one of our friendly team members in a blue apron if there is anything we can do to make your visit a more pleasurable one!

  • Cleaning and sanitizing procedures in accordance with guidelines by the Centers of Disease Control and Prevention.  

Frequently Ask Questions

Does the Museum require visitors to wear a mask? 

Masks are optional to visitors and staff. Please respect the personal decisions of staff members, volunteers, and your fellow guests! 

I'm a member, do I still need to reserve a ticket for admission? 

We encourage members to book tickets online before your arrival on non-event days. For special events online ticket purchase is required. 

What happens if I show up to the Museum without a reserved ticket? 

If you arrive at the Museum without a ticket, and capacity exists, you will be asked to purchase a ticket via your smartphone or in person at our Visitor Services counter. 

I’m having issues signing in as a member to reserve my tickets, what do I do?

In order to sign in, you need to register for our site with the email you provided when purchasing your membership. Please call us at 910-254-3534 ext. 102 or email our Guest Relations Coordinator, Meghan, at mkarg@playwilmington.org to resolve the issue.
